You may remember Kat & Ant from the e-shoot I did with them. If not – click here to see :)
Kat & Ant are South Africans living in the UK. They came out here to get married, and chose the beautiful west coast town of Paternoster for the wedding. The idea was to get married on the beach, and then move back to the lodge for the reception. But alas, the weather did not play along, and as fast as they were laying out chairs on the beach the wind was blowing them away. So they made the decision to move the ceremony up to the lodge.
Because of this, the bride and groom decided to do something a little different. It was important to them to say their vows on the beach, it was the way they wanted it to be. So after the main ceremony, the couple went down to the beach with the minister to say their vows to each other, alone. I know it wasn’t exactly what they had planned, but it was so special, and I am so glad it worked out the way it did.
The rest of the wedding was equally as special. Kat is very lucky to have a sister who is a rock star wedding planner (some of you may recognise Stephanie from the 12 Apostles) so the day went really smoothly. And there were so many personal touches, that made the day truly about the couple, their lives together, and their friends and family.
Special thanks to Natalie Gornall for being an awesome assistant.
The couple used some of their engagement photos at the reception. Super chuffed :)
